With this (Secondary) History PGCE from University of Brighton you’ll be taught by a team of experts with real classroom experience, using our specialised facilities that mirror those found in schools.

You’ll gain varied hands-on experience on placement and benefit from visiting specialist lecturers and field trips.

Preparing for your teaching career

You will graduate from this course equipped with the skills and knowledge to become a confident and competent secondary school teacher.

As well as gaining a PGCE, you will be assessed against the national Teachers’ Standards in order to be recommended for the award of Qualified Teacher Status.
