Objectives

Master's in Biomedical Research from University of Lisbon plans to provide conceptual and practical training in the principles and fundamentals of applying the scientific method in biomedical research;To prepare independent, critical, creative, curious, pioneering researchers with strong training in the application of the scientific method to go on to a PhD in Biomedicine.

Curriculum Assessment: 70%, which will include evaluation of the following parameters:

Grades obtained in previous degree(s);
Motivation and rationale for the application, as expressed in the motivation letter;
Professional experience in the field, including work carried out.

Interview: 30%, which will focus on the following parameters:

Demonstrated competences:
Relevance of the candidate’s presentation to the objectives of the postgraduate programme to which they are applying;
Alignment of the candidate’s needs and expectations with the potential and limitations of the Master’s programme;
The candidate’s empathy and interpersonal skills, particularly in the context of team-based and multidisciplinary research;
Openness of the candidate to explore related areas in potential projects integrated with other groups working on diverse themes.
