Overview
Brain and Mind Sciences from University of Crete includes scientists from the University of Crete (Medical School and Departments of Computer Science, Philosophy, Physics, and Psychology) and the Foundation for Research and Technology (FORTH, Institutes of Computer Science, Applied &Computational Mathematics, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology), as well as collaborators from other universities and research centers in Greece and abroad.

Understanding brain mechanisms and their relation to behavior requires methods from Biological, Social, and Physical Sciences. The program integrates three areas - (1) Biological Neurosciences, (2) Computational Neurosciences, Neuroinformatics, and AI, and (3) Social and Cognitive Neurosciences - following international standards. Through lectures by leading scientists, guided literature study, hands-on training in UoC and FORTH laboratories, and instruction in scientific writing, the program provides advanced education in emerging
