Overview

Bioinformatics from Addis Ababa University program will have two tracks; thesis track for those who want to do thesis research and Project track for those who wants to do their projects on the data which is already generated and available at the biological database.

The applicant should have a BSc degree from an accredited institution of higher education in natural and/or computational sciences. Students with BSc degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Pharmacy, Agricultural Sciences, Biomedicine, Veterinary Science (DMV), IT, Food and Nutrition Science, Environmental Sciences, Laboratory Technology, and Physics are eligible for admission. A candidate is required to sit and pass the General Admission Test (GAT) to be administered by the Addis Ababa University and a written or oral examination prepared by the department.
