Environmental Science from Addis Ababa University is a two-year program that offers interdisciplinary training and innovative research across six specialized tracks: Sustainable Land and Water Resource Management, Environmental Ecology and Ecosystem Sustainability, Environmental Pollution and Remediation, Environmental Biotechnology and Sustainability, Energy and Environment, and Atmospheric and Climate Science.

General requirements

To be admitted to the MSc program in Environmental Science, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution with a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent in a relevant field, such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Earth Sciences, Agriculture, Forestry, Geography, Chemical Engineering, Land Resource Management, Environmental Health, or Water Resources.
Applicants must submit a completed application form, official academic transcripts, and a copy of their Bachelor's degree certificate. Additionally, candidates must pass an entrance examination that assesses their knowledge and potential in environmental science and related disciplines, as well as the Graduate Admission Test (GAT). Relevant work or research experience in environmental science or a related field is an advantage
