Overview

Civil Engineering - Structural Engineering from Addis Ababa University includes; to train Structural Engineers who are equipped with the necessary advanced theoretical backgrounds to handle the design of special structures such as high-rise buildings or bridges with special features made of reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, steel or composite steel and concrete construction; to train Structural Engineers who will be in a position to check/review the structural design of other engineers after some years of experience in design and construction; to train Structural Engineers who will be at the forefront of advanced research in Structural Engineering and to train structural engineers who are able to respond creatively to the industrial requirements of infrastructure development in Ethiopia and overseas.
