Description

The Surgical Sciences - Cardiothoracic programme from MARA Technological University is design to cater to the standard set by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)and Malaysian Medical Council (MMC). A full-time coursework of 2 years programme. This programme consists of 6 clinical posting which include Cardiothoracic Surgery I & II, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, General Surgery and Anaesthesiology & Critical Care. This exposure will prepare the trainee with knowledge, experience and competency to pursue advanced cardiothoracic training which is a Doctorate Cardiothoracic Surgery.

At least 2 years after obtaining a Medical Doctor degree (MD) OR
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) OR

Other medical equivalent qualifications from a local or international institute of higher learning recognized by the University Senate and the Government of Malaysia AND

Full registration with Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)

A valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)

Sat for Physiological Entrance Examination

At least two (2) reports from the referees who worked with the student • Sat for student intake interview

Below the age of 35 years at the time of registration
Any other terms and condition set by University Teknologi MARA and Faculty of Medicine Postgraduate Office requirement.

Be registered with the National Medical Council in their country.

An original copy of the "Good Standing Certificate" and

Must be able to obtain a Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) from Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
