Health Systems Management and Health Policy from Addis Ababa University main aim of the program is to provide public health professionals with a basic foundation of knowledge and skill in public health, health policy and health system management focusing at producing higher caliber academic and service-oriented graduates that can serve universities, research institutes, and government and non-governmental organizations including international organizations, and engaged in policy matters.

An integral part of the educational journey is the capstone project, which empowers students to solve tangible health problems and policy issues by applying knowledge gained through the program which leads to the development of their technical skills, cognitive abilities, and interpersonal competencies. The program is also designed to help students gain global health orientation so that they can contribute to the advancement of global health.

For admission into MPH in Health Systems Management and Health Policy program the prospective candidates must • Have first degree (BSc/BA/MD/DVM) from an accredited higher institution; • Must pass Addis Ababa University’s Graduate Admission Test (GAT); • In addition, all candidates should fulfill the admission requirements of the School of Graduate Studies of the University. Specifically, the candidate Should have educational background in health and health related professions; health related professions include, but not limited to, the following: o Management, Economics and Sociology
