Medical Physiology from Addis Ababa University aims to produce research-oriented physiologists who support the shortage of teaching staff in medical schools and researchers in research institutions.

General requirements

The admission requirement for the program is based on the obligations an applicant should fulfill like in other universities in the country and AAU senate legislation.
Specifically, a minimum CGPA of 2:00 during the undergraduate programs mentioned below, passing the Graduation Admission Test (GAT) of the AAU, and both written and oral exams given by the Department are other admission requirements. A candidate who holds a degree in Medicine (MD) or B.Sc. in Pharmacy, Biology, Health Officer, Nursing, midwifery, Medical Laboratory Technology, Dentistry, Anesthesia, and Sport Science from government universities and other recognized institutions of higher learning can be admitted to the program provided that they fulfill the above requirements.
