Overview

Neonatal Nursing from Addis Ababa University program will be delivered in two-year fulltime learning mode. In order to meet the learning outcome, the learning process will be fully clinical (residential approach) except the first semester (four month) which is a theoretical common course and will be given in the classroom.

Admission requirement for the program is based on the general regulations of the Addis Ababa University. Applicants must have completed a baccalaureate degree in Nursing with a minimum of one year of clinical/community experience after a B.Sc. nursing. Two letters of recommendations from professionals who can attest to the applicant’s ability. Should pass the entrance examination set by the Department.

Applicants must have completed a baccalaureate degree in Nursing with a minimum of one year of clinical/community experience after a B.Sc. nursing
Applicants should be able to take the Graduate Admission Test (GAT) of the AAU and get a passing mark. Alternatively, standardized tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, ACT, SAT, or LSAT and with the corresponding passing marks are acceptable.
Submit a letter of intent for joining the Master’s or the PhD program.
Applicants will submit two (2) letters of recommendation from former university instructors or professors.

Produce, as may be required, certificate of work experience related to the desired field of study.
