Overview

Description

Submission of a thesis that demonstrates the candidate's capacity for independent advanced research to the satisfaction of the faculty is a requirement of the Computer Science (Research). The thesis must be first approved by the Thesis Examiners Committee, consisting of at least internal examiner and external examiner. Upon recommendation to the Senate of MARA Technological University by the faculty and the Institute of Graduate Studies, the degree of MSc is conferred on candidates who have satisfactorily shown an ability to do independent research, completed all requirements as prescribed by the faculty, and who have satisfactorily presented the results of the research undertaken.

Bachelor's degree in a related field from UiTM or another recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 2.75; or
Bachelor's degree in the relevant field with a CGPA of 2.50–2.74, subject to rigorous internal assessment; or
Bachelor's degree in the relevant field with a CGPA of 2.00–2.49 plus at least five years of relevant work experience, subject to rigorous internal assessment; or
Candidates without relevant qualifications or work experience must complete prerequisite courses determined by UiTM and meet the minimum CGPA requirements;
Candidates who meet the CGPA requirements and have completed accredited micro-credentials, professional courses, or relevant bachelor's courses may be exempted from prerequisite courses.
