Description

Candidates enrolled in Built Environment (Research) at MARA Technological University will be required to attend foundation course conducted by Institute of Graduate Studies. Candidate will be required to present his/her research proposal in Semester 1 or 2 of their studies. Upon acceptance of the proposal, candidate may proceed to complete their research project and produce a written thesis. Candidate will be required to defend his/her thesis in an oral viva-voce examination.

The minimum duration to complete the study for full-time and part-time students is 2 semesters (1 year). The duration may be extended to a maximum of 4 years.

General requirements

A Bachelor's Degree (Hons.) in Built Environment or relevant field from UiTM or any Institution of Higher Learning recognised by the Senate of UiTM with minimum CGPA of 2.75; OR

A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR

A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment. OR
Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by UiTM and meet the minimum CGPA
