Erasmus Mundus Joint - Coordinated Humanitarian Response, Health and Displacement from ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon this is now a possibility through a new post-graduate training offered by Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon (Iscte),in partnership with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), in Norway, the Makerere University (MAK), in Uganda, the University of Cape Verde (UniCV), in Cape Verde, the University of Santiago (USant), in Cape Verde, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), in Greece, and the University of Rovuma (UniRovuma), in Mozambique.
Key facts
- The “Human Response” Master proposes a new vision for post-graduate training focused on preparing specialized workers from countries affected by conflict and natural disasters with essential competencies to manage humanitarian programs in increasingly complex environments with efficacy, professionalism, and in alignment with multiple stakeholders.
- Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon (Iscte), in Portugal leads the introduction to Humanitarian Action, its theoretical underpinnings, methodology, health and operational management and logistics. HumanResponse coordinating institution.
- This joint degree has undergone scientific official procedures at each university partner of the consortium, with approval decisions being informed by full scrutiny of academic standards and the quality of the learning processes.
Universities are also undertaking the necessary European and national accreditation procedures.
