Overview
Purpose
The purpose of the three taught modules in Cyber Law (Course work) from University of Johannesburg is to develop the student’s intellectual and theoretical competencies at an advanced level, and to strengthen their ability to understand the different fields of study and related law from the viewpoint of a critical analysis of the underlying principles and a comparative evaluation of the application value of foreign data. The purpose of the minor dissertation is to develop the student’s capacity to give a scientific account of and apply the knowledge in the area of the different fields of study and related law that they’ve gained through literature study.Programme Structure

General requirements
- The minimum entry requirement is an LLB degree (or equivalent qualification) at NQF Level 7 or 8 and a minimum number of credits of 624. Candidates for admission to Master’s degrees in general need to have obtained their previous degree with an average mark of at least 65%. A student can gain entry at the beginning of and for purposes of registration for any of the three coursework modules. Depending on the pre-study, a supplementary study programme may be required as condition for admission. This selection will be based on one or more objectively justifiable and appropriate criteria. Such criteria may include the academic merit of an applicant, the relevant practical experience of an applicant and the number of students who can be effectively accommodated in a programme or module having regard to the high level of personal interaction required between Master’s students and supervisors/study leaders.
