Overview

Over the years, the department has grown in leaps and bounds to achieve its present standing. At present, we are admitting 18 MD postgraduate students, in addition to offering a Fellowship program in Pediatric Anesthesiology. Department teaching program is renowned all over the country for its quality.

The CME programs (APGAP) conducted by the department once every two years since 1982, has received national acclaim. The Anaesthesiology programme from Manipal Academy of Higher Education students are trained in Anesthesiology, Pain Management and Intensive care management.

After successfully completing the training, the candidates have career opportunities as:

General Anesthesiologist

Cardiac, Neuro, Pediatric Anesthesiologist

Pain Physician

Intensive care physician

Emergency Medicine consultant

Training and employment opportunities are also available in many countries outside India.
