Overview
The degree programme Medicine aims to educate medical doctors eligible to enter residency programmes or possessing the necessary skills to provide emergency aid and health care services under the supervision of a physician. The curriculum combines medicine studies, clinical practice, and research fundamentals aligned with international standards, preparing graduates for a Doctor of Medicine qualification in Europe and beyond.
Upon completion of medical studies, a Master’s degree in Health Sciences and the professional qualification of Medical Doctor are awarded.
Programme Structure
- Year 1: Anatomy, Histology, Genetics, Physics, Chemistry, Lithuanian Language
- Years 2 – 3: Reproduction and Inheritance, Professional Competence, Basics of Neurosciences, Immune Response and Infection, Respiration and Circulation, Metabolism and Homeostasis, Basics of Preclinical Studies and Locomotion, Lithuanian Language
- Years 4 – 6: Clinical Modules, Clinical Medical Practice

- Matriculation / School Leaving Certificate approved by the governmental authorities in English or an authorized translation into English
- Transcripts of high school/ senior secondary school verifying successful completion of Biology and Chemistry.
- Certificate proving the knowledge of English language: TOEFL – minimum 4.0 points (iBT); IELTS – above 5.5 points; PTE Academic – minimum score of between 55 – 67, Duolingo – minimum score 95, LanguageCert IESOL and/or other Academic certificate confirming the knowledge of English language at minimum B1 level (CEFR) or similar
