Overview

The program consists of four semesters (in 2 years, 80 credits) involving intensive training in basic and advanced genetic tests to understand the pathophysiology of reproductive cells. The learning process uses a combination of exercises including interactive theory lectures, practical classes, tutorship, postings, small group discussions, seminars, and electives. Furthermore, students will be assigned a semester-long mandatory research project related to reproductive genetics to get the essence of research. Moreover, students will go through a one-month mandatory internship training in a reputed genetic lab through an industry-academia partnership.

Career

On completion of the Reproductive Genetics programme from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, the candidates will have the opportunity to pursue research and join for Ph.D., work as reproductive geneticists/scientists/project staff in diagnostic genetic labs, hospitals, and research labs.

B.Sc. in any field of life sciences with minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent, and preferably background in Reproductive physiology AND/OR Genetics.
