This course is a collaboration between the University of Lagos and the University of Dundee.

Key facts

This fully integrated LLM course will enable you to develop your legal knowledge and skills. This development will feature the perspectives of both the Global South and Global North.

The Joint Programme builds on the strong ties between the University of Lagos and the University of Dundee. Both institutions have a commitment to establishing partnerships which are equitable and accessible in their funding, structure and content.

On completing the course you will gain an LLM from both universities.

The Joint Programme will offer you a very high degree of flexibility.

At Unilag modules will be delivered in a hybrid format. There is the potential for these to be delivered on evenings and weekends.

At Dundee, you will be able to choose from any available LLM modules. These will include those delivered from our Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law & Policy (CEPMLP).

The Law (Joint Programme with the University of Lagos) LLM offers a flexible, comprehensive and truly comparative legal education. It will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in law and beyond. You will have the opportunity to tailor your studies by choosing from a wide range of modules. This allows you to develop expertise in areas such as corporate and commercial law, environmental law, human rights, energy and international arbitration.
