This master's course is designed for those who already hold an undergraduate degree. For this version of the Adult Nursing course, you will complete a dissertation on a topic of your choosing.

Registered nurses are skilled healthcare professionals. They work in a wide range of healthcare settings. As a registered nurse, you will work with others to help and support patients and carers. Often, this can be through challenging situations.Our MSc Adult Nursing course will prepare you to work in partnership with patients and carers. You will be prepared to work with a wide range of health conditions. This course will help you become a compassionate and knowledgeable registered nurse. You will be ready to work in any modern healthcare setting.

If you choose to study nursing with us, this means your time will be split between learning on campus and learning on clinical placements.

This means for 50% of your time you will be learning on campus. The other 50% of your time will be on placements in a wide range of healthcare settings. These will include hospitals and community settings. Your placements will help you develop the hands-on skills needed to work in healthcare.You will be based in Kirkcaldy, the second largest town in Fife, 30 miles from Dundee. Our Kirkcaldy Campus has a community feel and its own clinical skills centre. We have strong links with NHS Fife, where most of your placements will be.Whilst nursing appears to be a very practical profession, you will also gain a range of abilities that are developed in the classroom.
