- Thesis Track (Regular M.Sc.) - A two-year programme combining advanced coursework with supervised research.
- Students complete 30 credits and produce an M.Sc. thesis that reflects original academic work in their chosen research area.
- Non-Thesis Track - A coursework-based programme totaling 45 credits, designed for students seeking to broaden their knowledge without conducting academic research. A final exam replaces the thesis requirement (a thesis is needed separately to continue to a Ph.D.).
- Specialized Tracks - The programme offers specialized tracks for students interested in working at the intersection between computer science and math, or computer science and physics.
- Student Support - Outstanding students may be eligible for scholarships, teaching assistantships, or advisor-based support. All new students participate in an orientation session covering course selection, choosing an advisor, and planning their academic path.

Other requirements
General requirements
Admission to the M.Sc. in Computer Science is competitive and based on academic excellence. Applicants are expected to hold a B.Sc. in Computer Science or a closely related field, with a strong background in core areas such as algorithms, data structures, mathematics, and programming.
The grade point average treshold for admission is adjusted periodically, and each application file is also considered in comparison to other applications submitted in the same cycle. In recent years, students with a grade point average lower than 87 were very seldom admitted. In some cases, even applications with higher grade point averages were rejected. Additional requirements may include prerequisite coursework, and supporting documents such as transcripts and letters of recommendation
