Overview
Throughout the Creative Practice course from University of West London you will design a practice-led or substantial research project around specific interests based on utilising UWL’s facilities.
The Townshend Studio offers access to a unique collection of vintage and contemporary synthesisers and samplers. Our cutting-edge recording studios reflect our world-leading research and practice in music production. Our London Noise Records label, distributed by AWAL, provides incredible opportunities for experiential learning and research, and our performance venues range from intimate studio spaces to a full-scale "black-box" theatre/concert hall.
You will develop performance, writing, production, management or pedagogical skills and knowledge in a vibrant, creative and nurturing environment supported by our expert staff. This MRes course gives you the opportunity to expand existing skills and make a substantial contribution to emerging trends in creative research and practice. In addition, you will produce a portfolio of public-facing and promotional material that communicates your conclusions, knowledge and skills to the industry, general public and the research community. You will use UWL’s resources to showcase your skills and knowledge and take your career to the next level – either in the industry or further into research via a PhD.
