The aim of the programme is to develop participants’ approaches to effective teaching, learning, assessment and evaluation practices in a higher education context. In addition, the Learning and Teaching in Higher Education course offered by Wrexham University supports the development of the scholarship of learning and teaching.

Completion of the full award (PG CERT Learning and Teaching in Higher Education) will enable participants to gain professional recognition as fellows of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) at Descriptor 2 of the UKPSF, which is the sector standard required of teachers in higher education.
