Overview
The aim of the Fisheries Sciences program at King Faisal University is to develop qualified national personnel to work in government institutions, institutes, and academic and research bodies concerned with livestock and fisheries.

In addition, the department provides training and guidance services in the areas of ruminant animal breeding and care, dairy farms, poultry farms, and fish and shrimp farms.
The curriculum in this specialization is designed to prepare students for a degree that facilitates their employment in both the public and private sectors. To this end, students learn basic and applied sciences in areas such as farm management, animal production improvement, feed manufacturing, and animal health and welfare, as well as other aspects related to the development of aquatic environmental resources, such as fisheries planning and management, and maximizing the use of natural living stocks in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea, with the goal of increasing animal protein production

General requirements
- The applicant must have a bachelor's degree in Agricultural sciences and Food from King Faisal university or its equivalent with grade not less "very good" or similar degree approved by King Faisal University.
- Passing the personal interview conducted by the department or any exam requested by the department.
- The department may stipulate to accept the student's in the master's program, passing a number of supplementary courses from a previous stage in a period not exceeding three semesters as stated in the terms of Article 18 of the Uniform Regulations for Postgraduate Studies in Universities.
- Applicant must obtain a TOEFL score of 400 or less or equivalent or joining an intensive English language program provided by the university or as recommended by the department council.
