Tailored to meet local and regional market needs, the Mechanical Engineering program at King Khalid University adheres to the national framework of qualifications and NCAAA accreditation standards. It also fosters scientific research in mechanical engineering.
Careers
Graduates can pursue careers in sectors such as structural analysis, energy systems, manufacturing, and automotive. Additionally, students who complete 24 credit hours of core and elective courses but choose not to undertake a thesis/project may be awarded a higher diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

General requirements
- The applicant must comply with the requirements of the Ministry of Education.
- The applicant must have a high school diploma or its equivalent (postgraduate programs: bachelor’s degree or/and master’s degree) from inside or outside the Kingdom.
- Certificates and supporting documents must be authenticated by the concerned authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- The applicant must have the qualified grade for admission in the standardized tests (Qiyas) or its equivalent, and it must not have been more than two years old.
- The applicant must not have been academically dismissed from the university or any other university.
- The applicant’s information entered electronically must be correct and in conformity with the rules and what was reported to the university from the relevant authorities.
- The university may require that the applicant obtain academic recommendations from one of the university’s respected entities or figures.
