You will come away well-versed and well-practised in your chosen discipline of ethnomusicology/musicology, verbally and technically fluent, fully conversant with a broad range of issues of concern in your field, and able to present your ideas across a wide range of media.This degree is also available via the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) mode of study where students with ongoing professional careers take modules over a four or five-year period.Please note that the ‘Ethnomusicology/Musicology’ pathway title is for study purposes only and won’t be reflected in your degree title upon graduating. General requirements
- UK Honours degree or equivalent.
- All applicants must provide an academic essay of 2,500 words on any musical topic.
- In addition to the academic essay all applicants must provide a second academic essay of 2,000 words that should broadly fall within the subject of Musicology and Ethnomusicology, indicating the applicant's ability to write at postgraduate level of the course.
