Overview
From a multidisciplinary perspective, the Master in Digital Arts and Creative Technologies will provide you with technical knowledge of various digital production tools. Through project-based learning, you will develop the ability to create artistic works in different formats, such as immersive installations, video games, websites, augmented reality applications, or audiovisual content. In this way, you will gain comprehensive digital training that will give you a solid foundation from which to specialize in your future professional practice.
Methodology
It combines theory and practice to foster a comprehensive approach where critical thinking develops in parallel with artistic creation.
The curriculum of this Digital Arts and Creative Technologies programme from Istituto Europeo Di Design (IED) is structured around three core areas: the “Projects” block, which serves as the focal point of learning and involves the development of audiovisual, phygital, and transmedia projects; the “Technical Tools” and “New Media Management” blocks, which focus on the digital production process, from project management to the use of specific digital tools (3D modeling, computer programming, sound, VR/AR, and AI); and finally, the “Culture and Society of Design” block, which includes theoretical courses and seminars that delve into the history and social impact of technology, design, and digital media, while also serving as spaces for dialogue with active professionals in the field.
Who is this for?
This master’s programme is aimed at individuals holding a bachelor’s degree in design, fine arts, architecture, audiovisual communication, or an equivalent field. This prior training ensures that future students, on the one hand, possess certain basic creative skills and, on the other, are familiar with digital creation tools commonly used in the discipline.
