The Four-Year Medical Curriculum is designed to follow on from the Two-Year Pre-medical Curriculum; together providing a comprehensive and cohesive program in line with WCM-Q’s mission to provide the finest education possible for medical students.
Key facts
In September 2016, Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar launched an innovative new curriculum which built on the successes of the previous curriculum and was guided by the key principles of enhancing the integration between the foundational sciences and clinical learning, and introducing students to patient care from day one of their studies.
The curriculum is centered on three key themes, these being the scientific basis of medicine, patient care and physicianship, and is continuously adapted to make the best use of the ever-increasing array of high technology that is revolutionising medical education.

General requirements
- An undergraduate bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite for matriculation.
- Completed application and personal statement submitted online.
- One letter of reference from the Pre-Professional Advisory Committee of your college/university OR at least two letters from professors who can provide a detailed evaluation of your performance in university science courses. Please refer to FAQ #9 and #10 in the Four-Year Medical Curriculum Frequently Asked Questions for further details.
- Reference forms are available with the online application.
- Official results of MCAT. The MCAT is mandatory.
- Official/certified copies of all college and university transcripts.
- Official/certified copies of all diplomas and degrees earned.
- Photocopy of valid passport.
- One passport-size photograph.
