Overview

The Public Administration (Distance Learning) programme from University of Nicosia  provides postgraduate education to holders of a Bachelor in public administration, political science, law or of some other relevant field (International Relations, European Studies, Governance, etc.), and it mainly, but not exclusively, addresses itself to individuals who (intend to) work on fields relevant with the public administration and governance (public employees, public officials, employees of local government organizations and the wider public sector, diplomats, consular officials, security and military personnel, energy security personnel, general employees of companies and of other private sector entities or organizations, members of non-governmental organizations etc.).

Occupational Profiles

• The programme is directed towards holders of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, or another relevant field (such as International Relations, European Studies, Governance, or Management), who intend to work in areas relevant to public administration and governance. 

• In the public sector, graduates can pursue (or enhance their) careers in services under various Ministries or local authorities, as diplomats, consular officials, or military personnel, or in international organisations such as the UN, the EU, and the OECD. 

• In the private sector, graduates can pursue careers in multinational firms, such as consultancy, management, energy security, public relations, or other related domains. 

• Academic institutions, research centers, and non-governmental organizations across diverse domains can offer remarkable career prospects. Graduates of the program could also pursue further studies at a PhD level.
