Clinical psychologists use their knowledge of psychology and mental health for the assessment, diagnosis, formulation, treatment and prevention of psychological problems and mental illness across the lifespan.
The Master of Clinical Psychology from Monash University Malaysia prepares you for work as a clinical psychologist, offering coursework that will develop your knowledge and skills in psychology and mental health. You will be equipped to work with clients, assessing, diagnosing, formulating, treating, and preventing psychological problems and mental illnesses across their lifespan. You will gain generalised and specialised clinical skills to manage complex mental health problems, that are culturally responsive, in order to help people thrive.
This course includes four placements supervised by experienced clinical psychologists, as well as a clinical research project that has the scope to positively impact the community under the guidance of experienced academics.

General requirements

To enter Monash University, you must satisfy particular academic, English language and age requirements.
To apply for the Master of Clinical Psychology, you must have completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) (or equivalent) accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC), or a qualification assessed as equivalent by APAC, with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 or a CGPA of 3.1 within the last 10 years.
Admission to this course is highly competitive and places are limited. Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. The final ranked list of applicants will be determined based on academic merit, CV, referee reports, and performance at interviews.
