Overview
Students will be trained in the use of artificial intelligence, technology and the latest trends for detecting issues and generating insights through data processing and analysis, in order to enhance their understanding of how to:
- Avoid and prevent injuries or illnesses caused by engaging in sports, and improve physical fitness.
- Diagnose and treat sports injuries and get athletes quickly back into practice.
- Help athletes to participate in sports when suffering from specific illnesses.
The Medicine and Exercise Sciences programme from Universidad Europea provides specialised, up-to-date training in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries and the development of protocols to meet the specific needs of high-performance athletes, as well as those of the general population, as interest in physical activity and sport grows.
Why study this programme?
Students will be able to access top-class facilities, such as our global health and performance center: a sports medicine and performance centre housing the exercise physiology, biomechanics, clinical, dexa and rehabilitation labs, together with elite sports facilities.
Thanks to our links with Real Madrid and other sports institutions, students can enjoy work placements in football, basketball and other sports clubs, working with professional athletes.
Students receive training not only in sports medicine, but also in areas such as exercise physiology, sports nutrition, sports psychology and physiotherapy and rehabilitation, taking a global and holistic approach to the athlete.
