The School of Advanced Study at the University of London brings together eight internationally renowned research institutes and a variety of central academic initiatives to form the UK's national centre for the support of researchers and the promotion of research in the humanities.

You will engage with some of the most pressing issues in today’s world, from forced migration, environmental humanities to globalisation, and gain an advanced understanding of global cultural processes.
You are able to tailor your master’s to your interests, with a choice of modules from the School of Advanced Study including the University of London Institute in Paris, as well as UCL, Queen Mary, and Royal Holloway.
You can choose to develop an exhibition, a piece of creative writing or a translation with written commentary, or a research project outline in the place of a traditional dissertation – giving you the chance to develop even more skills and present your work in a creative way.

The normal minimum entrance requirement for our master’s programme would be a first or upper second-class honours degree from a recognised university in the UK, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in any discipline that is related to the course.
