The Applied Management program at Waikato Institute of Technology was developed to ensure you study a broad range of business areas, you will cover eight professional competencies that represent technical skills with two areas of focus and three pathway options.

General requirements

240 credit programme applicants are required to have:

an undergraduate degree from a New Zealand Institution or an approved equivalent; or
at the Dean’s discretion, where an applicant’s situation is compelling but not covered by the requirements listed above.

180 credit programme applicants are required to have:

an undergraduate degree from a New Zealand Institution in the business or management field with a minimum of the equivalent to a B average; or
a Bachelor Honours or Postgraduate degree in the Business or Management field with 120 credits at Level 8; or
a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field with a minimum of the equivalent to a B average and evidence of management experience at degree level, subject to assessment by the Programme Coordinator; or
at the Dean’s discretion, where an applicant’s situation is compelling but not covered by the requirements listed above.
