Overview
The Human Resource Management (International) programme from the University of Limerick programme is the Dual Degree option offered on UL’s MSc in Human Resource Management.
At the end of your studies, you will receive HRM Master’s level degrees from both UL’s and UC3M.
The programme is designed to cover the full spectrum of HRM, from creating sustainable workplaces and developing ethical leadership skills to managing conflict, talent development, and global transformations in work.
You will also build strong research capabilities, engage in career-focused professional development, and complete an independent dissertation on a real HR challenge.
The programme’s first and last semesters are delivered in Ireland, and the Spring Semester is delivered in Madrid, Spain.
During this programme, you will:
- Tackle the multiple challenges faced by HR professionals in today’s increasingly complex and globalised business environment.
- Design and implement people management processes compatible with the creation of sustainable working environments.
- Explore core theory underpinning effective people management including managing conflict, creating environments for sustainable and decent work, talent management and employment relations.
- Learn to balance operational and strategic issues and manage competing demands from multiple stakeholders.
- Examine key leadership concepts and skills required to become an ethical and effective leader in the workplace.

- Applicants will possess a minimum 2:2 honours primary degree (National Qualifications Authority of Ireland) in a relevant discipline (for example business, management, commerce).
- An interview (face-to-face, or via telephone/video call) may form part of the application process.
- Qualification transcripts and certificates
- A copy of your birth certificate or passport
- A 1 page personal statement that outlines your interest in the programme and how your undergraduate education and/or work experiences are a ‘fit’ with the entry requirements of the programme
- If your qualifications have been obtained in a country where English is an official language this will suffice.
