Overview
The MA in Visual Communication from University of Portsmouth is a unique interdisciplinary programme with a strong focus on enhancing and advancing your creative practice.
This year-long course is delivered through three dynamic and interconnected modules: Exploratory Practice, Contextual Practice and Professional Practice. Each module offers the opportunity to explore a specific mode of enquiry, or as we call them, ‘ways of working’, leading to a range of portfolio-worthy projects.
Throughout the course, you’ll develop meaningful messaging across print, digital and emerging technologies, while critically engaging with the social and theoretical contexts of visual media. You’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools, including Portsmouth’s industry-leading extended reality facilities, and collaborate on real-world projects with award-winning creative agencies and high-profile professional bodies.
