True leadership in software engineering goes beyond the code.

This course focuses on the development of skills that are essential for technical leaders in modern industries. You will sharpen your ability to analyse and translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies, empowering your teams to deliver quality results on time.

From mastering project delivery to refining communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, this course builds the competencies needed to manage technical teams effectively. To qualify, applicants must have a degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering or math), as well as minimum 2 years of professional experience as a software engineer or in a similar role, including programming skills.Alternarively, applicants without a degree can qualify if they have 5 years of professional experience in software engineering or similar.

Work experience

Applicants need either:

A degree in STEM plus 2 years of professional experience as a software engineer or in a similar role, including programming skills.
Or, 5 years of professional experience in software engineering or a similar field without a degree.

Technological requirements

Some programmes require a foundational understanding of IT through academic or professional experience.

If you lack this background but meet other criteria, you may receive a conditional offer, subject to completing our free IT Foundation and Programming course.

Your success in this course will demonstrate your ability to learn advanced digital skills, leading to an unconditional offer.
