Overview
User Experience Design and Applied Innovation at the Atlantic Technological University graduates will gain knowledge of user experience design and innovation processes, visual communication skills, along with an insight into consumer behaviours.
Typical applicants will include graduates from technical development and digital design backgrounds, current employees from the multinational and SME sectors in both technical and digital design capacity, plus unemployed graduates seeking to upskill.
Recommended Study Hours per week
Students can expect 1 evening per week in online Live classes (traditionally Tuesdays 5pm – 7pm). The programme is broken down into 8 week modules that run consecutively leading to a capstone 30 credit Work Based Learning Project. Students are expected to complete tasks in their own time outside of class hours as individuals and in team projects.

- Standard applicants will present a qualification recognised by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent. Applicants may also be eligible to apply on the grounds of Recognition of Prior Learning (PRL) if they have attained appropriate experience and attainment thresholds deemed equivalent to a Level 8 award.
