Overview
During the Robotic Surgery (Simulation) course at the Anglia Ruskin University you’ll explore the ways in which robotics have been integrated into surgical practice, leading to reduced invasiveness, decreased blood loss, shorter hospital stays, faster recovery times, and improved patient outcomes. Looking specifically at gastrointestinal (upper and lower), urological and gynaecological surgery, you’ll also explore some of the cutting-edge strategies and techniques, as well as develop a theoretical understanding of how these can be applied in practice.
Key Features
This is a distance learning course: you don't need to attend physical locations but, instead, participate in learning using a variety of online systems to engage with your lecturers and fellow students. However, it includes a compulsory module which you must attend in-person: Simulation in Year 2. The Simulation module is delivered in-person at the ICENI Centre in Colchester, Essex in the UK.
