Overview
Do you want to learn more about how organisations and society are transforming through technologies like AI and Virtual Reality? And how professionals navigate digital transformation and effectively integrate emerging technologies into their work? Do you want to equip yourself to make a meaningful difference to these changes?
Key Features
The Management and Technological Change program at King's College London demystifies new technologies; introduces methods and techniques to understand ‘user’ needs; and reflects on alternative approaches to managing change. This combination is vital for those leading and adapting to change in organisations.
The rapid proliferation of digital tools and new technologies presents unique opportunities for every organisation, whether in the public, private or non-profit sectors. However, these technologies are created, implemented, used, and accepted or resisted by people, so understanding the relationships between people and technologies is fundamental to understanding new opportunities and challenges for organisations.
Furthermore, tools like generative AI and robotics give rise to complex and contested relationships between people and technologies – raising questions around ethics, expertise, trust and accountability. Indeed, in many cases, the reason for the success or failure of technology projects is not down to technical issues, but rather the extent to which technologies resonate with people – their expectations, their work practices, their knowledge and their skills.
