Overview
This Sustainability and Adaptation program from Centre for Alternative Technology uses the concepts of sustainability and adaptation transformation to frame an analysis of environmental and climate change policy and its implications for society. With a wide range of modules, the course offers a holistic view of sustainability.

Career
The postgraduate courses provide a flexible and hands-on teaching approach which allow students to develop the knowledge, skills and networks needed to work towards a sustainable future and create positive solutions to climate change.
To date over 2000 people have completed postgraduate awards at CAT. Students have gone on to make a real difference through a wide variety of careers and experiences, from architecture and energy management to environmental policy and land management.
Current CAT students and graduates also work across government, industry, charities and academia, with many running their own businesses or setting them up after they graduate.
Accreditation
This course is created and delivered by CAT and is validated by the University of East London.
Programme Structure
Taught over two years full-time or three years part time, students will study taught modules over the first 12 months and then move onto a 120 credit extended research Dissertation module where you will learn how to lead and manage your own research project on a sustainability-related, discipline-relevant topic of your particular interest, and write an extended dissertation on the findings.
