Engineering Systems Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech)

The Engineering Systems program at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) fosters creativity in solving critical problems in aerospace, energy, and robotics, enabling graduates to manage R&D with a focus on satellite systems, drones, and robots, develop IT methodologies, design complex engineering systems, and contribute to satellite surveillance, solar physics, space weather and aeronautics projects. 

In advancing autonomous robotics, intelligent sensors, AI algorithms, and space exploration, the program bridges curiosity and utility, profoundly impacting society.

Tracks

• Digital Engineering and Product Development: The track focuses on technologies and methodologies for the developing products and systems of pivotal importance for hi-tech sectors and society. Particular emphasis is placed on digital twins and ways to efficiently use and adapt digital technologies to create modern products and systems and analyze their competitive advantage.

• Robotics: The track offers a series of courses in Advanced Robotics , Perception in Robotics, AI for Robotics , VR and Haptics . Along with studying our HermesBot autonomous delivery robot, UR collaborative robots, HyperDog quadruped robot, and a swarm of SwarmTouch drones with tactile feedback, the students will develop their own robotic and VR solutions.

• Space: The track focuses on delving into deep science and developing space systems to train scientists, space mission designers, and leaders of design teams for complex space-borne and engineering systems, covering a range of topics from systems engineering to aerospace structure product development, model-based and data-driven engineering for spacecraft design, and orbital mechanics and maneuvering.
