Key features

The Artificial Intelligence programme from Sapienza University of Rome structure is divided into four semesters, for a total of 120 ETCS. All students will spend their first semester at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF, in Barcelona), and then continue their second semester at any of the other member universities: Sapienza (SAP, in Rome), Radboud University (RAD, in Nijmegen), University of Ljubljana (UL, in Ljubljana). For the second year, students will be able to choose between all the member universities and specialize in one of the four strands offered, which reflect the different expertise and excellence of the consortium members (Intelligent Decision Making in Spain, Robotics and AI in Italy, Cybersecurity in the Netherlands and Data Science in Slovenia).

The specialization involves the development of a Master's thesis, working closely in one of the academic research groups or in an industrial environment offered by the affiliated partners.

General requirements

Candidates are required to have a Master degree in Earth Sciences according to the European Qualification Framework.

Persons that have a degree issued by non-EU universities can be admitted to the course in the case that the Scientific Educational Council recognizes it sufficient for admission.

The course will be financed by tuition fees, contributions from ENOS project and possible donations by other public and private institutions, within their national regulations. Teacher mobility will be financed through those sources, while extra expenses for student mobility (travel, food and accommodation expenses) will be covered by each student. Between 8 and 10 students are planned and reduction of the tuition fee is planned during the ENOS project, dependable on the number of students.
