Assessment
The Stem Cell Technology and Regenerative Biology program from Manipal Academy of Higher Education is conducted over 4 semesters and the 1st and 2nd semester includes class room teaching and practical classes with four modules in each semester1st
First semester will broadly cover the fundamental biology along with brief introduction on stem cells
Second semester will emphasis on different aspects of stem cells including tissue specific stem cells, tissue engineering and therapeutic application of stem cells
Over the next 2 semesters the students will opt for mini (3rd semester) and major project (4th semester) where the student will be mentored individually by a faculty throughout the semester.
Students will gain in depth practical knowledge of the biology of stem cells and their differentiation potentials.
Career opportunities
After obtaining a Master’s degree, students can register for a PhD program and our students are sought after by premiere institutes like inStem, IISc, JNCASR, NCBS and abroad universities for their research programme
Pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology companies, hospitals or clinical applications.
