Overview
The research in the Master's program of Policy Analytics in Global Issues aims to understand current global-scale issues and provide decision support for their solutions, intersecting the fields of Political Science and Industrial Engineering. The program intends to analyze global problems with a focus on complex political power relations, utilizing the infrastructure of the Political Science department. Students developing skills in modeling and optimization as well as simulation and probability/statistics will be equipped to manage research aimed at understanding the socio-technical dimensions of global problems and offer potential solutions to decision-makers and other stakeholders. Graduates from this program will specialize in topics such as international migration, political economy, global environmental issues and policies, conflict, and political resolution, thereby acquiring the skills to support decision-making processes of governments, civil society, and organizations.
