Overview
The Philosophical Knowledge program offered by the University School for Advanced Studies Pavia (IUSS) is the first Italian degree course in philosophy to be entirely taught in English. It is part of the framework of the European education system and aims to open the job opportunities of the global labour market to its graduates.
The degree course leans towards an international teaching approach: every year, six renowned foreign philosophers, true authorities in their respective research areas, are invited to cooperate as professors in the training of students on the course, thus opening the course up to the cross-fertilisation of innovative teaching methods and teacher-student interaction.
Outcomes and career opportunities
In addition to the natural outlets in the teaching field, the degree course aims to prepare its graduates to pursue an academic career by accessing a PhD. It also provides its students with training designed to guarantee them job opportunities in the areas of business, communication and human resources management. Possible careers:
