Overview

The Erasmus Mundus Master's Degree in Human Diseases Models Morphological Phenotyping (MorphoPHEN) program offered at Autonomous University of Barcelona is conceived to alleviate the real shortage of experts in morphological mouse phenotyping, which is needed to generate a positive impact of preclinical biomedicine and improve human translatability (from the bench to the bedside).

By combining the expertise of the 4 university partners and the international experience of 18 associated partners of excellence in the field of mouse biomedicine, the programme will deliver a comprehensive and integrated training in mouse anatomy, pathobiology, imaging, pathology, experimental design and deep learning technologies.

Students will begin at Barcelona learning mouse anatomy, histology, embryology, and the basis of pathobiology.

About MorphoPHEN

The main objectives of MorphoPHEN are:

1) to construct an integrated interdisciplinary education program on mouse morphological phenotyping.

2) to produce graduates with the skills that are needed to generate a positive impact on human disease models translatability.

3) to develop a European and global approach for teaching a new discipline that improves the analysis and understanding of human disease models.
