Overview

The Veterinary Biotechnology program from Kazakh Agro-Technical Research University (KATRU) will help you to study the psychology of management in pedagogical activities. To speak a foreign language at a professional level, allowing to conduct scientific research and to be able to show leadership qualities for the development of enterprises in the industry.

Learning Outcomes

Know the functional and stylistic characteristics of the scientific presentation of the material in the studied foreign language, the general scientific terminology and the terminological sublanguage corresponding to the specialty in the foreign language.
Classify the technological diversity of biotechnological target products (biomass, primary and secondary metabolites), methods of their separation and purification; the principle of operation of the basic biotechnological equipment, the conditions of effective methods of separation when obtaining various products.
To draw conclusions about the latest achievements in the field of preparation of various biotechnological products and methods of separation and purification of target products.
Reveal the psychology of the cognitive activity of undergraduates in the process of learning.
To master psychological-pedagogical methods and means of increasing the effectiveness of education and upbringing, modern technologies of applying leadership abilities to implement the educational process taking into account the requirements of society, as well as the special features of the professionalization of teaching staff in the field of veterinary biotechnology.
Apply methods of molecular biology and genetics when performing scientific research; to know hereditary information, composition, structure, functions and patterns of chromosomes, genes and genomes. Use the acquired knowledge in genetics and selection of animals, obtaining new breeds and improving existing qualities of agricultural animals.
Form practical skills in the technology of recombinant DNA creation based on methods of molecular biology and genetics
