The Department offers the following services:

Sport and Exercise Science consultations
Sports Medicine consultations
High performance testing for athletes at all levels
Biokinetic rehabilitation services
Chronic disease rehabilitation including but not limited to cardiac rehab, pulmonary, neurological conditions
A variety of interventions such as low back classes, fall risk classes, weight management, pregnancy exercise classes, aquatic exercises
Injury assessment
Health and wellness
Corporate wellness
Work readiness evaluations

Nutrition, healing and rehabilitation
Exercise, immunity and the environment
Muscle physiology and metabolism
Cardiorespiratory physiology and exercise
Wellness, health promotion and rehabilitation
Management of lower body injuries
Management of upper body injuries
Medical conditions and special population groups
Clinical practicum and portfolio

A bachelors degree of at least four years duration from Wits or another university or a bachelors degree followed by an honours degree. Working experience or other valid experience may be required. Admission to clinical degrees not included.
