Machining tools and techniques are evolving as the manufacturing industry grows and adapts to new technology.

In the Machining for Manufacturing course from Conestoga College , you will learn current machining techniques and practices including benchwork, milling, and lathing, and the design of work holding devices. You will also explore in-demand practices and processes required of leaders in the manufacturing industry.

Graduates will be able to look for employment in small to large manufacturing and support industries including automation, aerospace, and automotive manufacturing suppliers, food and beverage processing and packaging, pharmaceutical, textiles and more as machinists, supervisors, or team leads with an enhanced applied perspective.

An Ontario College Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering or a related field,

Or

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in mechanical engineering or machinist-related work.
