Program structure

Assessment during this Dental Sciences (Research mode) program at International Islamic University of Malaysia will be based on the submitted thesis and Post Thesis Examination Meeting (PTEM). All details regarding the research proposal and thesis submission are according to IIUM Postgraduate Regulations (Revised 2020) handbook. Students also need to fulfil the minimum publication requirement as stipulated by the university as graduation requirement.

General requirements

Obtained a bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Dentistry or a related Science or Health Sciences with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and above from IIUM or another recognized Institute of Higher Learning; or obtained another recognized qualification equivalent to a bachelor’s degree (Hons); or have relevant professional qualifications and experience recognized by the University Senate; or get a CGPA of less than 2.75 but have work experience in the field applied for.
Appropriate research proposals are required for applications for admission to a master’s degree.
