Overview
The Master's program in Industrial Engineering for Sustainable Manufacturing at the University of Udine is delivered entirely in English and trains professionals to work as designers and managers in the supply chains of the circular economy, the energy transition and of hard-to-abate industries (steel and metallurgy, construction materials, chemistry), to develop and implement cleaner production, digitalisation, and internationalisation strategies.
Professional opportunities
Graduates can access jobs of technical and managerial responsibility for the design and manufacturing of sustainable products, or for the development and implementation of sustainable processes and services in the private and public sector. Typically, they will pursuea career as development engineers, manufacturing engineers, HSE managers, project managers, supply chain managers. Graduates with an advanced knowledge of the Italian language can also access the additional courses and exams required to pursue a career as a freelance engineering professional or as a teacher in secondary schools in Italy.

General requirements
- If the degree is awarded by an Italian university, a Bachelor’s degree class L-9 (Industrial engineering) is required, with at least 45 ECTS earned in core subjects (mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science) and at least 80 ECTS earned in characterizing subjects. - Students will also be required to demonstrate proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level (level B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference).
- In order to evaluate whether you meet the admission criteria, your application and attached documents shall be forwarded to the Advisor Committee of this program, who will meet on a monthly basis upon the presence of student applications.
